Spark is the first to pair with EPIC
EPD vendor EPIC says Spark is the first party to have managed to receive information for digital signage with active push functionality from EPIC.

What is Epic?
Epic is the provider of an Electronic Patient Record (EHR). An EHR is a software application where medical patient data is stored and made available digitally in the hospital to support the care process around a patient.
In cooperation with Amsterdam UMC, we now show an overview of consultation hours including walk-out times directly from EPIC on the screens. At both the Amsterdam UMC and the UMC Groningen, we extract patient calls directly from EPIC and this is shown on the screens, including the room where they are expected. We have a live export with the doctors' schedules and at the UMC Groningen there is a direct line from EPIC.
The new EHR allows for working from one app, one source of information, one system. In the EHR, all personal information is stored, which brings extreme security conditions. Spark can guarantee that the link is 100 percent secure. At UMC Groningen, an application has been built internally that processes the data. This literally stays on its own server and thus within the hospital to ensure security. At the Amsterdam UMC, the data is transferred from EPIC in the right format to an internal server and the Spark clients also request the data from this internal server."
Patients are thus instantly informed properly in real-time without costing the medical experts any time.
