UMCG and Spark Narrowcasting extend successful partnership
The University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) has extended its long-term cooperation with Spark Narrowcasting. For fifteen years we have contributed to improved communication within the hospital. What began as a solution for the outpatient clinics is now an essential part of the daily operation of the UMCG.

Spark Narrowcasting is used throughout the UMCG, from the outpatient clinics and departments to the educational institute and the central medical library. For the UMCG, we have realized links with systems such as EPIC and Ultimo. These integrations allow essential data, such as patient calls and room availability, to be displayed directly on the screens.
We also worked with the UMCG and the University of Groningen to develop push functionality, which allows slides to be easily placed in multiple channels.
Spark's technology plays an important role at UMCG and is constantly evolving to meet users' changing needs. We have placed information screens of various sizes in the hospital, including standard 43- and 55-inch screens, stretched models and screens on trolleys.
"Spark Narrowcasting means more to us than a service provider. We really see it as a cooperation partner and we are very happy that we can continue this cooperation in the future. For a good number of years Spark has been thinking along with us about the best possible solutions for informing our patients and employees via digital signage. Contacts with Spark are always quick, friendly and personal and the Spark team is characterized by not thinking in limitations, but in possibilities. This fits very well with the values of the UMCG."
