Institute Verbeeten has been the specialized hospital for radiotherapy and nuclear medicine in North Brabant since 1953. In the Radiotherapy Department, they irradiate patients who have cancer. The Nuclear Medicine Department performs research (diagnoses) and gives treatments (therapy) with radioactive substances.
Targeted content for internal and external communications
To make information delivery as targeted as possible, Spark Narrowcasting is set up with four main broadcasts. These broadcasts are tailored to specific locations and take into account the distinction between internal and external communications.
A special addition is the walk-out time module, which keeps patients in the Radiotherapy Department informed in real time of any waiting times. In addition, the screens show:
- Waiting times
- Route and accessibility information
- Research and treatment information
- House rules & notices
- News (internal & external)
- A live RSS feed from OnsVerbeeten (intranet)
This mix of information ensures that employees, patients and visitors always have the most relevant updates.
Professional and branded content
In order to make the communication consistent and recognizable, custom slide layouts were designed especially for Institute Verbeeten. Here the corporate identity is fully implemented, with attention to:
- Pictograms for added visual clarity.
- An exit time bar for patient information.
- A dynamic announcement bar.
- A duration loader for structured display.
- QR codes and logo integrations for interactive content.
In addition, Single Sign-On (SSO) has been configured, allowing employees to easily log in and manage content.
Efficient installation without inconvenience
The installation of the screens was handled entirely by Spark. In order not to disrupt the daily business at Institute Verbeeten, the installation was carefully planned within opening hours. Upon request, an early start was made so that inconvenience was kept to a minimum. Thanks to good preparation and a streamlined approach, the installation went efficiently and flawlessly at all three locations.
With Spark Narrowcasting, Instituut Verbeeten now has a powerful and modern communication system that keeps employees, patients and visitors informed about what is really important.
