Schedule changes and announcements on screens

The project
As part of Openbaar Onderwijs Groningen, Kamerlingh Onnes has decided to start a pilot with Spark Narrowcasting. This pilot will be carried out within the school group, with Kamerlingh Onnes acting as a test location. After extensive discussions and advice, the necessary hardware was delivered to Spark Narrowcasting. Spark Narrowcasting then took care of the assembly, after which the screens were delivered to Kamerlingh Onnes for further installation by their own supplier.

Screens of various sizes have been installed. The screens are hung at the reception desk, in the auditorium, hangout and various stairwells to provide students with schedule changes and other information. Students, staff and parents are informed with information on the screens.

Schedule changes and important information
In addition to schedule changes, announcements, welcome announcements and presentation announcements with floor plans for visitors are displayed on the appropriate screens. On the hangout screen, a specific choice was made to add bus schedules in addition to schedule changes. Each screen can indicate what information is important and adds something at that point in the school. Custom slide layouts were designed in the Kamerlingh Onnes corporate colors.

The playlist includes RSS feeds from the Youth News, weather forecast and bus schedules. By choosing Spark Narrowcasting, students, staff and parents are now always well informed about current affairs.
