Correct information

An important part of feeling at home is good information. Dijklander Hospital states: "Despite the emergence of smartphones, there is a need among our patients for information about running out of consultation hours, the introduction of healthcare providers and information about specific treatments. For this reason we have chosen to invest in narrowcasting."

The hospital issued a call for tenders to several parties in late 2018 to provide digital signage software and associated players. The Dijklander Hospital itself owns the screens. Spark best fit the hospital's challenged need for optimal information and is now supplying the software and associated 90 players for all 4 locations.

User-friendly
The implemented solution allows for decentralized content management with a direction function for the marketing & communications department. In a kick-off training, all users are trained so that each user is able to post information. A detailed scheduling tool in the application allows content to be filled when users have time.

Qmatic link
At a number of clinics a link with Qmatic, the call system, has been realized. At the location in Hoorn, for example, Qmatic has been integrated with the digital signage. This way one can add additional information and communicate from one channel.

Guaranteed safe
Spark guarantees that Dijklander Hospital's own data never leaves the hospital's own network. Spark does not need and has no access to Dijklander Hospital data and thus guarantees the security of confidential data.

Successfully delivered
The implementation started on January 1. Dijklander Hospital is extremely pleased with the implementation and application. The desired result has become possible; providing visitors and patients of the hospital with relevant and up-to-date information in a more efficient and simple way.

Background
Dijklander Hospital was formed from a merger of the Waterland Hospital in Purmerend and the Westfriesgasthuis is Hoorn. Since April 2017 the hospitals have merged, with branches in Hoorn, Purmerend, Enkhuizen and Volendam. More information about Dijklander Hospital can be found here.
