Spark Narrowcasting at North Airport

Groningen Airport Eelde was founded in 1931. In over three-quarters of a century, the northern airport has grown into a very complete international airport, located a stone's throw from the city of Groningen. The airport sees it as its task to optimally facilitate the region. Economically, infrastructurally and socially.

The project
Narrowcasting is used to inform travelers about important matters. Departure and arrival times of flights are shown in real time through a link with the flight schedule system. Besides this direct information, narrowcasting is used for generic information from the region, such as outings or other travel destinations. There is also space for commercial information; companies can buy advertising space on the screens.

Slide layouts and setting up application
The airport had the design of the slide layouts redesigned in 2022. The information arising from the flight schedule system is translated directly into a sleek design on the screens. Whereby the design takes into account viewing distance and readability so that the message comes across well to passengers. With the new narrowcasting design, Groningen Airport Eelde's screens exude international allure.
