This is how we keep colleagues informed
Good drugs make patients' lives better. This requires a lot of research. At ICON they study the effect and possible side effects of such a new drug. Every year in the Netherlands, about 2,000 people participate in drug research in research centers. In the Netherlands alone, there are over 1,000 employees: doctors, researchers, nurses and lab technicians. ICON has over 35 years of experience with drug research in the Netherlands.
The project
On the various floors of the advanced research clinic in Groningen, information screens have been installed at strategic places, taking into account good light output and visibility. This involves the use of LG Digital Signage screens with internal webOS player. Narrowcasting is used centrally and decentrally to display a variety of information.
ICON can quickly and easily intersperse organization-wide or department-specific information to reach the right audience. Employees, physicians or researchers are shown a variety of content, such as internal (departmental) updates, housekeeping announcements, job alerts, introducing new employees or anniversaries.
The design of the slide layouts was developed in ICON's corporate identity and takes into account viewing distance and readability, thus better communicating the message to the viewer. The slides are displayed dynamically and with animated elements on the screens to enhance interaction with the viewer.

Martine Bouwman (Senior Marketing & Communicatie Specialist)
“Spark Narrowcasting's application works very intuitively, so it does not take much time to post messages. Some employees in the research center do this very easily themselves. This allows us to switch quickly. From the Marketing & Communications department, we also post messages regularly. This way we keep our colleagues in the research center, who are not regularly behind their laptops, informed of what is going on.”
